Erectile dysfunction medicines seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have actually been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a house in Glengormley.
A male was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines via the internet.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.
He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The search was carried out by the Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is crucial that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.
"These kinds of products being offered, usually online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their safety.
"You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More significantly, you do not understand the impact drugs like this might have on your health."
